Linda Kay Thompson

I have lived in Fremont county all of my life. I am actually located in my childhood home on Bluff Road in the famous Loess Hills. Over the years I have been active in our local school and in our 4-H programs here in Fremont county. I worked as a Production Planner at American Meter for 27 years retiring in 2011. I have continued working at Mincer’s Orchard and at the Library. My biggest interest has always been children. I have 3 children, 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and numerous extras. The friendships that have developed with young people over the years are to me the most precious gift I have ever received. I have been married to Bob Thompson for since ____ he is my rock and my life. We still do a large garden and have a cow/calf operation. We enjoy both and will continue with this life as long as we are able.

I have loved books for a very long time. I think my third grade teacher, reading Mary Ingalls Wilder, started me on my road. When I first started going to our library it was on the square in city hall. I didn’t quit going to that library until I graduated, It didn’t take me long to realize that even with 3 small children I needed books in my life and I became a patron of the Hamburg Library. Books are and always will be a large part of my life.

My favorite book is any book that I am currently reading. I always set out to read the entire book and rarely do I not finish a book in its entirety.  I simple love books!
